Where do you pick up guests?
We offer hotel pickup and drop-off for our full-day tours from Watamu, Malindi and the surrounding coastal area. For the Mida Creek canoe experience you can also meet us directly at Mida Creek. For safaris we can arrange pickup from JKIA airport, Nairobi, Watamu, Malindi, Mombasa or another location – just tell us where you are staying.
How long are the tours?
The Mida Creek Mangrove & Canoe Experience takes about 2–3 hours. The Arabuko-Sokoke, Sabaki Estuary and Mambrui–Robinson Island–Marafa excursions are full-day tours. Our Kenya Safari & Coast Adventure runs 8 days / 7 nights and can be shortened or extended.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing and walking shoes or sandals that can get wet, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, drinking water and your camera. Binoculars are highly recommended for birdwatching. For safaris, bring layers for cool early-morning game drives.
Are the tours suitable for children?
Yes – families are very welcome. The mangrove walk, boardwalk and canoe ride are great for children under adult supervision. For full-day tours and activities such as quad biking or horse riding, please let us know the ages of your children so we can advise and plan accordingly.
What happens if the weather or tide changes?
Canoe rides through the mangrove channels depend on the tide, so we plan the timing of your Mida Creek experience around it. If weather or conditions affect an activity, we will adjust the timing or suggest the best alternative.
Are meals included?
Full-day tours include a lunch stop – a local restaurant at Mida Creek on the Arabuko-Sokoke tour and a seafood lunch on Robinson Island on the coastal adventure. On safari, meals are included as shown on each day of the itinerary. Please confirm exact inclusions when you book.
