Tips for birders

Make the Most of Your Day

  • Start early – bird activity is often at its best in the early morning.
  • Follow the tide – waders gather on the creek and estuary flats as the tide changes; we plan timings around it.
  • Bring binoculars and a camera with a zoom lens if you have one.
  • Wear neutral colours, a hat and comfortable shoes, and bring water and sunscreen.
